This project was designed in the form of a cross with 12 separate quarters, each housing one monk. These rooms are organized around a central courtyard with a shading trellis that is meant to convey a sense of serenity to the inhabitants. Mostly regional materials were used, such as Mexican brick with stained wood ceilings.
