Cavazos Architects’ goal is to design projects that will inspire and enrich their inhabitants, and encourage a connection with the surrounding environment.
It all began when Willy Cavazos joined Alfonso Leyendecker in 1971 as a partner. After Mr. Leyendecker’s retirement, what was once Leyendecker & Cavazos Architects became Cavazos & Associates, Architects, with Mr. Willy Cavazos as the sole owner of the company.
In 2002, Mr. Willy Cavazos’ son, Guillermo Cavazos, joined the company after graduating from UT Austin. He went on to become a junior partner in 2007 and when his father retired, Mr. Guillermo Cavazos became the new owner of Cavazos & Associates, Architects.
Cavazos Architects has always ventured in a wide variety of industries: Religious, Educational, Commercial and Residential. While in the last 30 years our primary focus has been in the Educational sector, we are always open to new architectural challenges.
Our most notable projects are the LNB Plaza Remodeling, Texas Community Bank Headquarters, and Nixon High School Redesign in 2012.
We look to the future with an open mind and hope we can continue to create beautiful spaces for Laredoans. We believe the spaces we inhabit affect the way we feel and how we connect with our environment which has a profound effect on one’s health and wellbeing.
